With the 2016 election over, the upcoming months will be a time of major transition for professionals in the government affairs industry. GAIN’s “Life After the Election: Picking Up the Pieces” panel on November 15 featured prominent and experienced government affairs professionals who have had experiences transitioning through public and private sector careers.
George McElwee of Commonwealth Strategic Partners, Warren Tryon of Capitol Counsel, Izzy Klein of Roberti Global and GAIN Advisory Board Member, Stephen Ward of VH Strategies, and John Chamberlain of KnowWho offered their insights and recommendations regarding post-election job opportunities and outcomes. Guided by moderator John Chamberlain, our panelists answered questions regarding the process of transition with the incoming administration and the ramifications of the election on the lobbying world. Additionally, panelists focused on the importance of building and maintaining relationships and the process of finding a new job.
The panel would not have been possible without our panelists, moderator, and host – The American Trucking Association. GAIN would like to extend a big thank you to these parties, as well as all of our attendees. Happy Holidays everyone!
