Drafting Legislative Testimony

GAIN and George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management are pleased to bring you the second chapter of our joint webinar series: Politics, Communication, and Advocacy: A Practical Playbook, focused on helping D.C. government affairs professionals effectively communicate with legislators and advocate for the issues important to their members and clients.

This second webinar event, Drafting Legislative Testimony, will feature Julius W. Hobson, Jr., Adjunct Professor of Lobbying at GWU since 1994 and a GSPM alum. Mr. Hobson also teaches Legislative Writing and Research and Lobbying at the GSPM.

Join us as we benefit from Mr. Hobson's wisdom on the art of drafting effective and impactful legislative testimony and the science of properly editing and formatting it for submission.

The program will begin at 12:30pm on July 9th and run approximately 30 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A period.

By registering for this event, attendees acknowledge that they may receive follow up information from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management.

GAIN has designed this event to fully comply with US Senate Rule 35.1(d)(1), US House Ethics Manual pp. 41-47, and the U.S. Executive Branch Gift Rules regarding the “widely attended event” exception to the gift rules. US Senate and House staff are advised to consult with the US Senate and House Ethics Committee to confirm this analysis. US Executive Branch employees are advised to consult with their agency counsel.
