Last night, the Government Affairs Industry Network and the Grassroots Professional Network joined forces to co-host our second joint event in celebration of the annual Congressional Baseball Game, a Washington tradition since 1909. This year’s game raised a record $1.2 million for charities such as the The Washington Literacy Center, The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation and others.
The event was held at Top of the Yard in the Hampton Inn Washington DC — overlooking the Nationals Stadium and giving attendees a near perfect view of the ongoing baseball game below.
Over 200 Government Affairs professionals from a variety of industries were in attendance, with over 400 on the waitlist.
GAIN was also honored to have several Members of Congress, including Chairman Pete Sessions, stop in for a quick visit to show their support. We would like to extend a big thank you to these amazing legislators and their staffs for taking the time to stop in before the game.
