The first official Advisory Board meeting of the Government Affairs Industry Network (GAIN) brought together a wide range of professionals in advocacy to shape the future of the organization. As discussed in the mention by Politico Influence below, we passed our bylaws, elected leadership, and discussed how we plan to impact our industry.
“GAIN: Government Affairs Industry Network held its first meeting of the Advisory Board yesterday and approved the organization’s bylaws, leadership team, and committee chairs, among other items. The Board approved the nomination of Andrew Fullerton, National Kidney Foundation, to the position of Chair, and Shannon Patrick, Centurion, as Vice-Chair. Blake Major, AIG, is Treasurer and Eric Storey, American Academy of Family Physicians, is Secretary. Other Board members include Kim Ford, First Data, Amy Meli, Aristotle, Tim Teehan, L2, Greg Knopp, American Council of Engineering Companies, Sara Grant, Citigroup, Jennifer Rosen, Alzheimer’s Association, Grace Boatright, Unfold, Mark Vieth, CRD Associates, and Michael O’Brien, MOB Advocacy.”
We are excited to soon announce a number of valuable programs in the works as we continue to determine the details. We look forward to working with the Network to grow and develop our Committees, and are excited to engage with new participants.
